Facilities and amenities
The house is laid out in a typical Quercy style, with wide steps leading from the patio between the pool and the house to a covered verandah, with a barbecue, table and chairs for al fresco dining. A door from the verandah leads into the 35-foot living room with its integral kitchen and dining area.
Le Puech is approached by is own private track and is set in three-quarters of acre of land. The garden is divided between the pool and sunbathing area and a “wild “part of the garden where children can play.
The layout is ideal for two families sharing or for a mixture of singles and couples, as each unit of two bedrooms plus shower room is fairly self-contained.
Cooking
The open-plan kitchen is well lit and equipped with a dishwasher, gas cooker and oven, microwave, freezer, fridge and double sink. There is ample provision of glasses, crockery etc. The washing machine is in the utility room, which also has an extra fridge and electric kettle for pool side drinks.

There is a full-sized table-tennis table, a children’s climbing frame and a basketball hoop at the side of the house.
A nearby hiking trail is a good place to start exploring the area on foot, and there is a lake about five miles away where you can buy an inexpensive licence to fish, hire pedalloes, walk through the woods, and feast upon crepes made at the lakeside cabin.
